RobavoX is an early-stage fund and venture studio.
We love to create and fund civic and deep tech projects. We’re also passionate about creating and funding nonprofits and research organizations.
New products and new processes do not appear full-grown. They are founded on new principles and new conceptions, which in turn are painstakingly developed by research in the purest realms of science - Vannevar Bush
RobavoX operates across four vectors:
Investing In Projects.
On the investment side, we invest primarily in the projects that we've created as the first check-in, and pre-seed/seed rounds in founders we are excited about.
On the incubation side, we originate the idea, hire the team, fund the initial six to 12 months, launch the project, and maintain integral oversight throughout the project’s lifecycle.
Investing In University Innovation.
RobavoX Academic Innovation Fund.
On the university innovation side, we co-create and fund scientific and engineering research projects led by university faculty, graduate students, research scientists, and student founders.
On the social impact side, we create and fund nonprofits and research organizations.
Some of the areas we are most excited about creating and funding projects are:
Agriculture/ Agricultural tech.
Biotech and life sciences.
Data and analytics.
Internet of things.
Defense and National Security.
Higher education, elementary education, and job reskilling.
Transportation and logistics.
Rural development and physical infrastructure.
RobavoX Strategic Value:
Lab & Office Space
RobavoX Labs - our goal is to provide access to specialized labs, equipment, tools, and space necessary to experiment and launch “moonshot” technologies. For these needs, we are currently building out a plan to operate over 25,000 sq/ft of office, lab, and industrial space.
Ovabor Development Labs Limited is our Africa-based engineering and design initiative to support our incubations by partnering with top-quality engineering and design talent in Africa.
We are always interested in hearing from senior engineers, university faculty, graduate students, postdocs, and research scientists passionate about science, entrepreneurship, venture, and technology in Africa.
